A 1 "Erected in memory of AENEAS DOUGALL, Slater, Dunning. Born on 10th Mar. 1805, died 24th Mar. 1897 and ELISABETH CRAWFORD his wife born 9th Mar. 1815 died 6th Aug. 1901". Large ornamental stone - white centre - black letters. Condition quite good but dirty.

A 2 At bottom "17 JM/MM 29" - Inscription on remainder illegible. Small stone - poor condition - partly buried.

A 3 "I am the Ressurrection and the Life in loving memory of AENEAS DOUGALL, Draper, Auchterarder, who died 9th Sep. 1896, aged 32 years". Cross above with flower spray with inscription "Thy Will be Done" - Large ornamental stone - top half in good condition - lower half badly flaked - names illegible.

A 4 "1848 - Erected in memory of JOHN PATON, Mason, 76, died 13th June 1848". Remainder illegible. Worn condition - lying on side.

A 5 "In memory of PETER MILLER who died 23rd Jan. 1903, aged 85 years and his two children who died in infancy. Also his wife CATHERINE BAYNE who died 29th Jan. 1907 aged 86 years". Round top stone - polished granite inset - good condition but leaning.

A 6 "Sacred to the memory of JAMES MITCHELL, Farmer, Broadslap, who died 9th Apr. 1871, aged 79 years. And of his wife JANET MARTIN who died 7th May 1875 aged 77 years". Medium upright stone with decorated top - reasonably good condition.

A 7 "In memory of WILLIAM THOMSON of Dean Cottage who died 7th Dec.1862 aged 67 and his wife JANET MITCHELL who died 11th Apr. 1881 aged 77". Christ vanquished death and reins on high. His peoples curses and shame He bore. Why weep for those in him who die. They are not lost but gone before". Top of Stone - "Thy will be done - I.H.S." Medium/Large stone - reasonably good condition.

A 8 "Erected by DAVID FISHER in memory of WILLIAM BOWIE who died 28th Sep. 1863 aged 69 years. MARY BOWIE who died 8th Nov. 1878 aged 75 years. His father and mother-in-law. Also his sons DAVID who died 15th Oct. 1866 aged 4 years, DAVID CHARLES who died 4th Dec. 1878 aged 5 years and his beloved and faithful wife CHRISTINA FRASER BOWIE who died 30th Apr. 1881 aged 45 years. Charles BOWIE died 16th Aug. 1898 aged 68 years. JAMES BOWIE died 21st Nov. 1902 aged 74 years. JANET RICHARDSON wife of the above CHARLES BOWIE died 18th Jan. 1938 aged 96 years. Also JOHN BOWIE son of the above Charles BOWIE who died 22nd Mar. 1951 aged 81 years and his wife MARY LIVINGSTONE BROWN who died 25th Jan. 1945 aged 59 years". Tall stone - cross on top - columns at side - good condition.

A 9 "To the memory of HENRY REID who died l3th June, 1866, also his wife MARY FRASER who died Sep. 1837. Also their two daughters MARY and CATHERINE who died in infancy. ANN who died 26th Oct. 1891 aged 62 years. MARGARET born 15th Mar. 1829 died 31st July, 1900". Large upright stone with urn on top - fairly good condition.

A 10/ "Erected by PETER TAYLOR in memory o' His son PETER who ---- March 11 3rd 184- aged 26" Split Stone - half standing and half against wall - Poor condition.

A 12 "1816 - JOHN HUTTON and JEAN DOUGALL his spouse in Riskhead of Kelty. Also of DRUMMOND and JAMES HUTTON their sons. This was erected by JEAN HUTTON their daughter". Small stone - rounded top - readable but beginning to flake.

A 13 "1830 - Erected by WILLIAM DOUGALL, Dunning, in memory of his father WILLIAM DOUGALL who died the 12th Dec. 1829 and his mother AMELIA GRIEVE who died the 28th Apr. 1826. Also his Brother ROBERT who died the 12th Feb. 1830". Medium size stone - undulating top - wearing and flaking.

A 14 "In loving memory of my Husband DAVID FENTON who died 2nd Apr. 1935 aged 69 years. His wife MARGARET STEWART died 27th Nov. 1943 aged 76 years". Small marble upright stone - good condition.

A 15 Front of Stone - "MDCCCXXX1 (1831) Erected in memory of AGNES BRYCE Wife of WILLIAM PATERSON, Mason, Dunning, who died 30th Apr. MDCCCXXX1 (1831) and HELEN PATERSON their Daughter who died 8th Dec. MDCCCXV111 (1818) in the 20th year of her age". Back of Stone - "1849 revised by DAVID FENTON, Slater, in Dunning, in memory of MARGARET GLOAG his Mother who died 10th May 1843 aged 45 years and of JOHN FENTON his Father who died 13th June 1843 aged 53 years. Also his sons JOHN who died in infancy and EDWARD who died 21st Jan. 1849 aged 5 years. Also his Wife MARGARET GIBBONS who died 15th Apr. 1859 aged 40 years. The above DAVID FENTON died 19th Aug. 1888 aged 70 years and of his grandchildren JAMES CALLUM who died 6th Jan. 1891 aged 8 years, WILLIAM CALLUM died 6th Oct. 1895 aged 6 years. Also DAVID and ROBERT who died in infancy and AGNES ROSS Wife of the above DAVID FENTON died 12th Mar. 1917 aged 75 years. Elizabeth daughter of JAMES CALLUM and beloved wife of CHARLES McLAGAN who died 21st Dec. 1928 aged 32 years". Large Stone - surface quite good - leaning forward badly.

A 16 "In loving memory of my dear Wife AGNES FENTON who died 3rd Mar. 1938 aged 74 years. Also her husband JAMES CALLUM who died 22nd Feb. 1949 aged 87 years". Granite with polished face - good condition.

A 17 "1872 - In memory of JOHN PHILLIPS who died 10th Aug. 1870 aged 82 years, MARGARET EWAN his spouse who died 20th Dec. 1871 aged 77 years. Also their children DAVID who died 25th Feb. 1835 aged 14 months, DAVID who died 30th May 1840 aged 23 months, ISABELLA who died 14th Nov. 1840 aged 11 years, JOHN who died 19th Oct. 1846 aged 22 years, MARGARET who died -- Oct. 1859, aged 40 years and WILLIAM who died 14th Apr. 1875 aged 55 years". Large pedimented stone - polished granite inset - good condition.

A 18 "1803 - Erected by WILLIAM PHILP" above "Inscribed by JOHN PHILLIPS in memory of his two sons both named DAVID who died in infancy and of his daughter ISABELLA who died 14th Nov. 1840. aged 11 years. Also of his Son JOHN who died 18th Oct. 1846 aged 22 years - How must a soul late escaped from earth, The death of things now blazing in the eye. Look back astonished on the ways of men, Whose eyes -- is to forget the -- ". Medium stone - slate insert - fair but inscription wearing.

A 19 "Erected by JAMES SMITH, M.D., in memory of his only Son JAMES who was born in Ossett, Yorkshire, on 16th May 1842 and died in Glasgow on the 4th July 1859. The above JAMES SMITH M.D. was born at Boghall 29th Sep. 1789 and died at Inverdunning House 10th Dec. 1867. Also his wife ELIZABETH born 30th Apr. 1806 died 22nd Sep. 1882 - God is Love". Square stone with ornamental top and corners - reasonable condition - fairly legible.

A 20 "Erected in memory of JOHN SMITH who died 21st Mar. 1891, aged 86 and JEAN GRAHAM his Wife died 5th Aug. 1889 aged 79 years. CHRISTINA, their daughter 26th Dec. 1858 aged 19, HENRY their eldest son died 2nd June 1901 aged 65. JOHN their third son beloved husband of Elizabeth WYCHERLEY died 16th Apr. 1932 aged 85". Large slightly ornamental stone with pointed top - good condition but leaning backwards - precarious.

A 21 "I.D. 1624 - Heir lays the corp of JAMES DOWGAL lawful son to ANDROW DOWGAL in Balvhandi who died the 23rd of Jan. 1623 and of his -- Age d -- the --". On back - "A D and though after n skin wormes destroy this body yet in my flesh shall I see God". Small stone - Inscription both sides - Readable on front - partly readable on back - 1624 - 2nd oldest stone in churchyard.

A 22 "1864 - Erected by JOHN DOUGAL, Farmer, Balwhandie, in memory of his son DAVID who died 6th Aug. 1864 aged 15 years and of his wife CATHRINE DOUGAL who died 5th July 1865 aged 56 years. The above JOHN DOUGAL died 21st Feb. 1869 aged 63 years, his son JOHN DOUGAL died 5th Jan. 1913 aged 75 years, his wife ISABEL died 28th June 1919 and their only son JOHN killed in Boer War Oct. 1901". On back - "-- Erected -- of one bearing -- I D 1624 -- d of JAMES -- ANDREW DOUGAL in -- died the 23rd of January --". Large stone with pediment top - reasonable condition but starting to flake. Reverse side appears to be repeat of inscription on Stone A 21 - flaking badly.

A 23 "1877 - Erected by JAMES DOUGALL in memory of his son JAMES who died 1st May, 1875, aged 24 years. Also his son ROBERT who died in infancy. Also his son ALEXANDER who died 29th July, 1884, aged 22 years. The above JAMES DOUGALL, Mason, died 15th July, 1885, aged 67 years. Also his Wife MARGARET REID aged 73 years. Medium sized stone - carved and moulded top - reasonable condition.

A 24 "Erected to the memory of JAMES GRAHAM, New Town of Pitcairns, who died 2nd Oct. 1836, aged 58 years". Small stone - ornamental top with sun's rays - fairly good condition.

A 25 "1821 - Sacred to the memory of the Revd. WILLIAM IRVING late Minister of the Associate Congregation in Stranraer who was killed by a fall from his horse at the west end of Dunning on the 17th day of Oct. 1820. He was an amiable man, emminent Christian and affectionate Pastor. Be ye also ready for in such an hour as you think not the Son of Man commeth". Medium size stone - Ornamental top - fairly good condition - inscription clean.

A 26 "Erected by JAMES MARSHALL in memory of his Daughter AMEILIA who died 5th Apr. 1855. Also his son JOHN who died 21st Feb. 1877, aged 25 years. The above JAMES MARSHALL died - Aug. 1887, aged 80 years and his Wife ELIZABETH REID died 24th May, 1891, aged 79 years. Also their Grandson ARCHIE JACK died 28th Oct. 1896, aged 28 years, and his Daughter ELIZABETH who died on 6th Jan. 1906, aged 73 years". Medium sized stone - splayed top corners - fairly good condition - inscription clear.

A 27 "Erected in loving memory of ROBERT DUNCAN younger son of JAMES DUNCAN and JANE DALRYMPLE who died 26th Aug. 1902 aged 21 years and of their Daughter CATHERINE who died lst Aug. 1879 aged 1 year and 4 weeks, JEANIE who died 5th June 1884, aged 1 year and the above JAMES DUNCAN died 17th June 1907, aged 77 years. Also the above JANE DALRYMPLE who died 7th May, 1923, in her 78th year. JAMES their son died 9th Mar. 1926, aged 71 years". On plinth - "Till He Come". Large stone pointed top - good condition - slight lean to left.

A 28 "1671 - D M S - Here Lyes MARGARET KELTIE spouse of JAMES MOIR Merchant in Dunning - she died 26th of May 1736 Aged --" Long flat stone - well worn but legible.

A 29 "In loving memory of GEORGE HENDERSON died 18th May, 1926, aged 57 years and his Wife MARY FERNIE who died 18th Dec. 1952 aged 90 years". Tallish granite stone - Black letters - good condition.

A 30 "Till the day dawns - In loving memory of JAMES only beloved son of WILLIAM GRAHAM who died 5th Oct. 1882 aged 22 years, also ISABELLA who died 24th Oct. 1882 aged 25 years. Also CHRISTINA who died 27th Apr. 1850 aged 1 year 11 months. Also ISABELLA beloved Wife of the above WILLIAM GRAHAM who died 16th Mar. 1894 aged 73 years. The above William Graham died 31st May 1897 aged 78 years. ANNIE daughter of the above died 21st Nov. 1921 aged 69 years. Also their daughter ROBINA HORN GRAHAM died 3rd Mar. 1933 aged 81 years". Large stone - pointed ornamental top - good condition.

A 31 "ISABEL RINTOUL who depearted this life the 27th of May, 1723, and aged 68 years". Ornamental stone with shells, roses and initials "AG" "FG" and "JR" also Farmer's Trade Sign - "Sock and Coulter". On back - hour glass and wings, skull (semi-profile) and crossbones.

A 32 "1838 - Erected by ROBERT SMITH in memory of his Father and Mother and JAMES his Brother who died 21st Mar. aged 35 years. Fair condition - leaning against wall.

A 33 "W. PATERSON - A. PATERSON". Poor Condition.

A 34 In Loving Memory of PETER EWAN who died 27th Oct. 1928 and of his beloved Wife HELEN STEVEN who died 29th Jan. 1927". Granite stone - Good condition.

A 35 "1771 - Here lyes the dust of WILLIAM FRAZER who died 10th Feb. 1748 aged 65 years and CHRISTIAN SIMPSON his spouse who died 17th May 1756 aged 63 years. Also MARY FRAZER who died 12th Oct. 1756 aged 4 years. Also MARY GALLETLY who died 17th Nov. 1770 aged 41 years. Also GRIZAL FRAZER who died 2nd Jan. 1763 aged 3 years - This stone was erected by WILLIAM and JOHN FRAZER sons to the above WILLIAM FRAZER". On plinth - "Also JOHN FRASER and ANN GELLATELY his wife, WILLIAM FRASER and MARY LAWSON his Wife. ANN FRASER eldest daughter of said WILLIAM and MARY, JEAN youngest daughter of WILLIAM and MARY died 28th July, 1892. MARY LAWSON DOUGALL eldest daughter of DAVID DOUGALL M.D. and Jean Fraser his wife died 7th Nov. 1915". On Back - Angel - Plough - "Memento Mori" - Skull and Cross Bones. Medium stone on plinth - reasonably good condition

A 36 "Sacred to the memory of JOHN SIM late Farmer Boghall who died 24th June 1851 aged 89. Also his Wife JEAN THOMSON and JAMES and ANDREW two of their sons who died in early life". Medium sized stone in good condition - leaning forward - resting on adjacent stone.

A 37 "1804 - This stone was erected by JAMES EWAN, Mason, Dunning, to the memory of JAMES EWAN, tenant Miln of Findinny, his Father who died July 1787 aged 57 years. Also to the memory of BETTY LAWSON his Mother who died 9th Apr. 1802 aged 60 years". Medium sized arched stone - inscription on one side and decoration on the other - angel and mason sign.

A 38 "1813 - Erected by ALEXANDER, JOHN and ROBERT MILLS to the memory of their Father PETER MILLS late tenant in Miln of Inverdunning who died 25th July 1804 aged 61. Also to the memory of JANET BARNET Mother who died 20th Nov. 1812 aged 75 years - As also to the memory JAMES and ELIZABETH their brother and sister. Medium sized stone - Arched top with inscribed date "1813" - Poor condition - flaking - not too stable.

A 39 "In loving memory of ISABELLA MILLER Wife of ANDREW CUNNINGHAM, Farmer, West Deuglie, who died 5th Feb. 1876 aged 60 years. Also their son MICHAEL BOGIE who died lst June 1868 aged 15 years. Also their son ROBERT who died 17th Oct. 1883 aged 32 years. The above ANDREW CUNNINGHAM died 18th July 1884 aged 84 years. ANDREW son of above ANDREW CUNNINGHAM died 11th July 1890 at Glenfarg the result of an accident, aged 41 years". Medium/large stone - pointed top on plinth - reasonable condition.

A 40 "In loving memory of WILLIAM CUNNINGHAM who died at West End, Dunning, 13th Sep. 1904 aged 59 years and his Wife ISABELLA NIVEN who died 8th Nov. 1929 also their Daughter WILHELMINA died in Glasgow 28th May 1935". Large polished granite stone - double plinth - good condition.

A 41 "In memory of JOHN SCOTT who died 9th Aug. 1918 for 42 years in the service of the Caledonian Railway Company at Invergowrie and Stirling, aged 81 years". Granite stone - incised - good condition.

A 42 "In memory of JANNET DOW Wife of JAMES SINCLAIR, Farmer, Crofts, who died 30th May 1860. The above JAMES SINCLAIR died 10th Mar. 1871. JOHN SINCLAIR died 17th Sep. 1880". Medium sized stone with ornamental top - in bad condition.

A 43 "Erected by WILLIAM WHYTE, Baadhead, in memory of JEAN DOW his spouse who died 1823 aged 43. MARGARET his Daughter died in infancy". Medium size - fkaked on front - lies behind Stone A 44.

A 44 "WILLIAM WHYTE born 1783 died 1865, JEAN DOW his Wife born 1780 died 1823, WILLIAM WHYTE his Son born 1815 died 1881, JANE WHYTE his Daughter born 1823 died 1914 - His Grandfather, his Father, himself, his Son and his Grandson all named WILLIAM WHYTE successively occupied at Baadhead in this Parish for wellnigh 200 years". Large horizontal polished granite stone on double plinth with granite inset - good condition.

A 45 "JOHN WHYTE born 1811 died 1883. MAY WEDDERSPOON his Wife born 1808 died 1882". Polished red granite stone with Celtic cross on stone base - good condition.

A 46 Illegible.

A 47 "Sacred to the memory of ISABELLA SIMPSON Wife of WILLIAM PATERSON who departed this life 3rd Apr. 1860 aged 52 years. Also of JOHN and CATHERINE children of ANDREW PATERSON who died 13th and 14th Sep. 1861 aged respectively 3 and 5 years". Medium size incised stone - relatively good condition.

A 48 "In loving memory of JOHN MARTIN Husband of JANET SHARP who died at Mill Cottage 2nd Dec. 1904 aged 58 years. Also the above JANET SHARP who died 8th Mar. 1931 aged 87 years and their Sons JOHN who died 9th Oct. 1947 aged 69 years, WILLIAM who died 4th Feb. 1962 aged 86 years". Large pointed stone with double plinth - painted - good condition.

A 49 "In loving memory of ALEXANDER PHILP who died 29th May 1924 aged 83 years and his Wife ANN EWAN who died 2nd Aug. 1943 aged 72 years. Also their youngest Daughter ELIZABETH GEORGINA who died 21st Dec. 1987 aged 82 years". On plinth - "PHILP". Large granite stone with Celtic motif - applied letters - good condition.

A 50 "(WILLIAM SMITH) bo-- Dunning. In memory --'s Father ROBERT SMITH who -- 1875 -- who died 9th -- 1897 aged 73 years. The above WILLIAM SMITH died 7th Jan. --- aged 75 years". Medium sized - face badly eroded and flaked.

A 51 "In memory of PETER McNIVEN, Wright, Dunning, who died 26th Dec. 1875 aged 92 years. ISABELLA MITCHELL his Wife who died 7th July 1878 aged 84 years. Their Daughter MARY who died in infancy. Also their son JAMES who died 10th May 1847 aged 20 years and their son PETER who died 26th July 1871 aged 50 years". Medium size on double plinth - reasonable condition.

B 52 "Erected by PETER McFARLANE in memory of his dear Wife JANET MITCHELL who died 26th Apr. 1925 aged 66 years. Also her parents interred here". Medium upright polished granite stone - good condition.

B 53 "Erected by JANET MARSHALL in memory of her sister ELISABETH who died 28th May 1852 third daughter of DAVID MARSHALL and ISABELLA SCOTT, Ross. Gask. The above JANET MARSHALL died 20th Jan. 1867 aged 81 years". On back - "DAVID MARSHALL, Farmer, West Muir, died 16th June 1832 aged 84 years". Medium size stone - reasonable condition.

B 54 "Erected by ISABELLA and MAGGIE MARSHALL in memory of their beloved aunt JOANNA MARSHALL who died 25th Apr. 1885 aged 75 years". At foot - "Be ye also ready for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of Man cometh". Medium sized stone with ornamental top - condition fair.

B 55 "M" - "In memory of ANDREW MARSHALL, Struie Hill, Forgandenny, who died 29th Nov. 1898 aged 72 years. His Wife LILLIAS DONALDSON died 24th Jan. 1915 aged 77 years. And their daughter ANN died 22nd Mar. 1946 aged 83 years". Medium/Large polished granite stone - poor condition.

B 56 "Sacred to the memory of LAURENCE McCURRICH sometime Parish Schoolmaster of Dunning, died 19th May 1906 aged 82 years. Also of his Wife ANN MARTIN died 19th May 1904 aged 84 years. And their children JAMES died 5th May 1861 aged 10 years, DAVID died 20th Feb. 1855 aged 3 months, JOHN interred at Portbury, Somerset, died 18th Jan. 1899 aged 46 years, JANET died 16th May 1915 aged 57 years". Large upright granite stone - round top - double plinth - good condition.

B 57 "In memory of ALEXANDER DEUCHAR, Mason, Townhead, died 24th Dec. 1897 aged 88, and his Wife MARGARET LAING died 27th July 1891 aged 85. Their daughters MARJORY died 5th Apr. 1864 aged 31, MARGARET died 4th Feb. 1922 aged 85". Granite stone with "D" on top - good condition.

B 58 "Below are deposited the remains of WILLIAM STEWART, Tenant in Coulshill who died May 1742 aged 44 years. Also the remains of JANET HENDERSON his spouse who died in --- 1775 aged 75 years. This stone was erected by JOHN STEWART of In(ver)dunning the ---". Skull, cross bones and hour glass and Farmer's Trade Sign - "Sock and Coulter". Tablet stone on 4 legs - leaning over and top flaking.

B 59 "Sacred to the memory of MARY ANN WESTILE relict of Dr. JOHN ADIE, R.N. who died 2nd Jan. 1861 aged 78 years. Deeply regretted by her bereaved family in whose hearts she will live till they too are summoned hence. Also of MARGARET ADIE who died 17th Feb. 1860 aged 42 years. The ---- them which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him". Round column with urn on top - reasonably good condition.

B 60 "1880 - Erected by his son THOMAS in memory of ANDREW CHALMERS, Joiner, who died 5th Jan. 1878 aged 36 years. Also of his children JANE and JOHN who died in infancy". Small stone - ornamental top - fair condition.

B 61 "In memory of JOHN DOW, Farmer, Muir of Duncrub, died 9th Jan. 1835 aged 85, MARGARET DOW his Wife died Jan. 1795 aged 34 and of their family ELIZABETH died 12th May 1825 aged 40, HELEN died 20th Dec. 1867 aged 73(?), MARY died 16th June 1870 aged 77 years, JOHN died 13th Mar. 1874 aged 79 years, also WILLIAM DOW of Kirktonlees died 5th Feb. 1858 aged 70. ELIZA COWPER his Wife died 12th Jan. 1881 aged 89". Large polished granite stone - double plinth - fallen - main stone broken in five.

B 62 "Erected by the U. P. Congregation of Dunning as a token of the love and esteem in which they held their late Pastor the Rev. PETER BARRON, A = M., who died 5th June 1855 in the 34th year of his age and the fourth of his Ministry - What I do Thou knowest not now but Thou shalt know hereafter. Lord Thy judgements are a great deep". Medium sized stone with ornamental top - fair condition.

B 63 "In loving memory of my Husband WILLIAM CORRIGAL of Leadketty, who died 2nd May 1930 aged 80 years. Also his Wife JANE RENDALL who died 28th Feb. 1949. Their daughter Mina Corrigall who died 18th April, 1994 aged 103 years and her husband Robert Mainland who died 8th April, 1996 aged 76 years. Till we meet again. Asleep in Jesus". Large dark granite stone - polished double plinth - good condition.

B 64 Top - Anchor. "JOHN GRAHAM here ---- Dec. 1810, 50, Wife JANET N---ON in Greenbank, erected by son JOHN died Greenbank 10th Apr. 1829, 25, daughter JANET died in infancy". Stone in poor condition - almost unreadable.

B 65 "1734 - Memory of ANDREW BALMAIN and ELIZABETH ARNOT his Wife". Small stone - very worn away - Symbols carved on reverse - Farmer's Trade Sign - "Sock and Coulter".

B 66 "1771 ---lies the corps of --- . (Illegible) Small stone - mason's sign on front - poor condition.

B 67 Army Catering Corps Badge at top. "2757142 Corporal A. G. SMALL Army Catering Corps 15th Dec. 1944 age 22". Cross. "At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them". Small white upright stone - good condition.

B 69 "In memory of ROBERT SCOTT beloved Husband of MARGARET WESTWOOD died at Murdostoun, Newmains, 18th Dec 1926 aged 42 years, and the above MARGARET WESTWOOD died at Gowrie, 60 Jeanfield Road, Perth, 4th Jan. 1971 aged 81 years". Polished granite upright stone on plinth - good condition.

B 70 "Erected by DAVID LAWSON and JANET ANDERSON in memory of their children LIZZIE died 14th Oct. 1878 age 8, ANNIE died l3th Oct. 1878 aged 13, HELEN died 28th Oct. 1878 aged 11. Also one who died in infancy. Four lambs fold in Jesus. The above DAVID LAWSON, Farmer, Barns, died 17th June 1889 aged 63. Gone home to be with the Lord. The above JANET ANDERSON died 10th July 1896 aged 70. Their eldest daughter CHRISTINA died 19th Sep. 1928 and their daughter JANET who died 4th Feb. 1937 and their daughter MARY who died 10th Feb. 1937. Until the day dawns and the shadows flee away". Rectangular stone, tall with triangular carved top - had been surrounded by a rail - reasonable condition.

B 71 Almost unreadable - "---1760 Aged". Back of Stone - "W W G W ---omri". (Possibly WILLIAM WHITTOCK and wife GRIZEL WHITTOCK as shown in the Account of Compensation paid after burning of Dunning). Small/medium size stone - pointed top - badly worn.

B 72 "Erected by JOHN CUNNINGHAM, Broadhead Fold, in memory of his wife ELIZABETH GUILD who died 28th Jan. 1871 aged 29 years. The above JOHN CUNNINGHAM died 22nd May 1898 aged 67 years. Also their daughter ELIZABETH who died 27th Jan. 1943 aged 80 years". Medium sandstone stone with pointed and scrolled top and side decoration - reasonably good condition.

B 73 "In loving memory of THOMAS LAWSON who died 24th Feb. 1905 aged 82 years and of his Wife MARGARET CAMPBELL who died 5th Oct. 1859 aged 29 years. Asleep in Jesus". At bottom - "Erected by their daughter JESSIE BALMAIN FLEMING". Medium size stone - ornamental top - plinth - wearing - fair condition.

B 74 "1857 - Erected by MARGARET SMEATON in memory of her Mother JEAN WHITE Wife of DAVID SMEATON who died 27th June 1856 aged 80 years. The above MARGARET SMEATON died at Huntingtower 11th June 1881". Inscribed on plinth (flaked) "--- will God bring with Him". Rectangular stone with pediment on top and plinth - condition fair.

B 75 "In loving memory of ALEXANDER G. CUNNINGHAM of Broadheadfold who died 8th May 1908 aged 42 years and his daughter CATHERINE ELIZABETH who died 20th Dec. 1905 aged 4 years and CATHERINE DOUGALL Wife of the above ALEXANDER G. CUNNINGHAM died 6th Oct. 1954 aged 84 years". Large dark polished granite stone - double plinth - excellent condition.

B 76 Rectangular stone slab - worn away - illegible.

B 77 Small stone leaning against No. B 76 - badly worn and illegible.

B 79 No details - Two parallel long triangulated slabs lying flat on ground.

B 80 "In loving memory of DAVID WEDDERSPOON, Masterfield, who died 24th Jan. 1890 aged 80 years. Also to the memory of the children of DAVID WEDDERSPOON MORRIS - DAVID WEDDERSPOON died 24th Feb. 1890 aged 4 years, NELLIE died 7th Mar. 1890 aged 12 years, ISABELLA died 15th July 1891 aged 7 years, JANE MARY died 18th Feb. 1909 aged 19 years. The above DAVID WEDDERSPOON MORRIS, Farmer, Masterfield, who died 9th Oct. 1917 aged 61 years. Also his Wife ANN PEDDIE who died 21st Aug. 1932 aged 77 years. Also their last surviving daughter LIZZIE died 13th May 1969 aged 87 years". Large polished granite stone with pointed top and double plinth - excellent condition.

B 81 "(Here) lyes the body of ALEXANDER (PEARSON) of Clow who died 17th Feb. 1766 the body of HELEN WALKER his (wife - spouse) who departed this life 13th Aug. 1766 ----- near to this place lyes (one?) of their yon children ----- This stone was erected by ALEXANDER, ROBERT and MARGARET PEARSON their three e(ldest) ----- 1766". At bottom - "Carpe diem mortis memineris". Stone lying flat - broken and flaked in places.

B 82 "Erected to the memory of JOHN ROBERTSON, Parochial teacher, Dunning, who died --- May 1848 in his 67th year and his wife EUPHEMIA MILLER who died 2nd Aug 1856 in her 76th year". Large stone with pointed top and mouldings - plinth - fair condition - beginning to flake.

B 83 "In loving memory of LILLIAS WHYTOCK beloved wife of JOHN SPEEDIE who died 7th Feb. 1907 aged 54 years and of JOHN their son who died 16th Dec. 1897 aged 13 months. The above JOHN SPEEDIE who died 9th Jan. 1923 aged 68 years. Also their daughter MARY MILLER Widow of DAVID WINTON died 18 July 1946". Medium sized sandstone stone with rounded head on plinth - vine ornamentation on top - good condition - flaking on back.

B 84 "JOHN KINMONTH the Erector of this stone crossed the Atlantic Ocean four times --- years --- who died in Dunning on the 15th July 1853 aged 77 years and was (interred?) here". On reverse - "JOHN KINMONTH, Feuar of Dunning in memory --- daughter ISABEL who died --- 14th 1808". Medium/small stone with curved top - condition fair/poor - flaking.

B 85 "In loving memory of MARGARET RITCHIE who died 13th May 1955 and her father JOHN RITCHIE who died 1st Feb. 1928. Also her mother BETHIA BOAG who died 29th Sep. 1922. Her uncle PETER BOAG died 19th Aug. 1906 and her aunt ELIZABETH BOAG died 6th Oct. 1911". Tall polished granite stone - good condition but lettering fading.

C 86 "W C" - Heart - "G K" "173-". (Possibly CHRISTIE). Small upright stone - flaking and badly worn.

C 87 "G - I? - 30" Small upright stone - flaking and badly worn.

C 88 "Erected by PATRICK MILLER in memory of his wife ELISABETH MILLER who died the 13th Jan. 1832 aged ?" Small flat horizontal stone - reasonable condition.

C 89 "1759 - This stone is erected by HELEN DONALDSON in memory of PATR? in Findony --- husband who died --- W C, W S T? 1759 -- Aged 60". On back - Angels wings above - "P S - H D -- Momento Mori". Small upright stone with pointed top - badly flaked on back.

C 90 "In memory of DAVID DOUGALL beloved husband of HELEN BAYNE who died 25th Dec. 1910 aged 66 years and their son JOHN killed in action in France 20th July 1916 aged 19 years. The above HELEN BAYNE who died 1st Apr. 1932 aged 78 years also their elder son DAVID who died 29th Aug. 1933 aged 49 years, also their second daughter HELEN who died 23rd Apr. 1952 aged 74 years and their third daughter MARY ANN who died 19th Oct. 1962 aged 81 years and CHRISTINA born 1891 died 1967. ELIZABETH died 16th Jan. 1975, JANET died 20th Mar. 1976, WILHELMINA 21st Apr. 1895 to 26th May 1987 and MAY 3rd May 1893 to 15th Mar. 1991". Polished granite stone - ornamental with gold lettering and double plinth - good condition.

C 91 "1865 - In memory of ALEXANDER GUILD, Farmer, Middle Third, who died 4th Feb. 1864 aged 76 years. Erected by his wife ELIZABETH BALMAIN and his family. MARGARET GUILD died 7th Aug. 1871. ELIZABETH BALMAIN died 19th Aug. 1900. ALEXANDER GUILD died 23rd June 1901. JANET GUILD died 17th Jan. 1905". Medium size stone with broken top - scrolls at sides and plinth - fairly good condition.

C 92 "1828 - To the memory of JOHN MAILER who died 20th Jan. 1818 aged 50 years". Medium size solid stone - good condition but badly worn inscription.

C 93 "MILLER - In loving memoruy of JAMES MILLER who died 17th Jan. 1887 and of his wife JANET MURRAY who died 8th Jan. 1896 and of their family JOHN who died young, ALEXANDER who died 8th May 1881, THOMAS who died 8th Apr. 1883, DAVID who died 29th Jan. 1911, PETER who died 11th June 1917, JOHN PITCAIRN who died 18th Jan. 1929, MORRIS who died 23rd Mar. 1880". Large polished granite stone - pediment and double plinth - good condition.

C 94 "1861" Medium sized stone with arched top - badly worn with inscription flaked off.

C 95 "1836 - Erected by ANN MILLER in memory of her husband JOHN LOW, Innkeeper in Dunning, who died 14th Aug. 1833 aged 49 years. ANN MILLER died 14th Nov. 1877 aged 92 years". Medium sized stone with curved top and decorative festoons on front - condition fair.

C 96 "In loving memory of ANN CROSS beloved wife of DUNCAN WILSON who died 25th June 1904 aged 76 years. Also their son JOHN who died in infancy. Their daughter JANE TAYLOR wife of JOHN STEWART died 25th May 1917 aged 59 years. The above DUNCAN WILSON died 23rd Dec. 1918 aged 83 years. MARY daughter of the above JANE STEWART and wife of HUGH SMITH died 12th Apr. 1952 aged 65 years. Large granite stone with pointed arch head - incised carving decoration on plinth - good condition.

C 97 Front of stone - Sun at top - "Here lyes THOMAS GRAHAME son to JOHN GRAHAME in Mill of Keltie". Back of stone - Skull at top "1732 - H G - H G" - Hour glass - heart - cross bones. Small stone - partly buried - considerably worn - fair condition.

C 98 "1814 - Erected by Doctor PETER MARTIN in memory of his sons ALEXANDER M. M. who died 12th Feb. 1805 in the second year of his age, JAMES H. M. who died 11th July 1814 in the 12th year of his age. WILLIAM ROLLO MARTIN died 5th Oct. 1847 aged 2 years. Doctor PETER MARTIN died 25th Jan. 1848 aged 70 years". Medium sized stone with double curved top - reasonable condition.

C 99 "In loving memory of WILLIAM HENDERSON, Muirhead, who died 18th Nov. 1929 aged 65 years and of his wife ISOBEL CLELLAND who died 29th May 1935 aged 75 years. Also their younger daughter AMELIA REID who died 10th Feb. 1950 aged 52 years. And their elder daughter ISABELLA RENNIE CLELLAND who died 5th Dec. 1952 aged 68 years". Tall granite stone, rounded top, polished face on two plinths - good condition.

C100 "In memory of WILLIAM HENDERSON died 4th July 1890 and his wife AMELIA REID died 21st Mar. 1896". Large polished granite stone with rounded head and double plinth - good condition.

C101 "1832 - Secred to the memory of JOHN GLOAG who died 18th Jan. 1810, aged 51 years. ISABELLA HENDERSON spouse of JOHN GLOAG died 6th Mar. 1833". Other side - "Inscribed by ISABELLA and HELEN GLOAG in memory of their father HENRY GLOAG who died 6th May 1841 aged 47 years - also their mother ANN MENZIES who died l6th Nov. 1858 aged 62 years - ISABELLA LEUCHARS wife of Robert GLOAG died 6th Apr. 1896 aged 60 years. The above ROBERT GLOAG died 23rd Jan. 1900 aged 63 years". Medium sized stone with castellated top - reasonably good condition.

C102 "Sacred to the memory of ISABELLA GLOAG beloved wife of JAMES DUNCAN, Contractor, Dunning, died 11th Nov. 1919 aged 55 years, and of the above JAMES DUNCAN who died 30th Dec. 1933 aged 76 years. - He took me by the hand and gently lead me through the night to endless day". Large granite stone with double plinth - good condition.

C103 "In memory of DAVID WINTON died 13th Mar. 1920 aged 35 years beloved husband of MARY SPEEDIE". Medium sized granite stone with rounded top and single plinth - good condition.

C104 "Erected in memory of ROBERT WINTON of Meage Miln who died 28th Feb. 1737 and of three of his children DAVID and CATHERINE who died in infancy and WALTER, Tenant, Craigbackie, who died 13th Sep. 1793. Also of JAMES, WALTER's eldest son, Tenant Craigbackie, who died 17th Mar. 1818 and of WILLIAM his son who died 23rd Nov. 1824 aged 21 years". Large flat stone - worn but inscription readable.

C105 "Sacred to the memory of JOHN HAY WINTON died 19th Nov. 1902 aged 72 years and his wife ISABELLA MORISON died 11th Dec. 1907 aged 77 years. Also their family ELIZABETH HAY died Aug. 1859 aged 1 year, WILLIAM WINTON F.E.I.S. died 4th Feb. 1908 aged 55 years. ISABELLA wife of THOMAS McNAB died 21st July 1908 aged 46 years. MARGARET HELEN wife of DUNDEE PROUDFOOT died 23rd Sep. 1908 aged 53 years. JOHANNA HAY wife of WILLIAM GARROW died 5th Nov. 1912 aged 40 years. JEMIMA MORISON died 8th Jan. 1920 aged 58 years, DAVINA beloved wife of ALEXANDER BRUNTON who died at Woodside, Broughton, 21st Mar. 1929 aged 65 years and JANE WELCH wife of the above WILLIAM WINTON who died 11th Aug. 1930 aged 77 years". Tall sandstone stone with pointed top and two plinths - good condition.

C106 "Erected in memory of JOHN McLELLAN beloved husband of CHARLOTTE DUNN who died 7th Sep. 1948 aged 65 years. The above CHARLOTTE DUNN died 16th Apr. 1967 aged 88 years". Medium sized granite stone with single plinth - good condition.

C107 Symbolised crown over - "Here lyes the dust of KATHREN CLEMMENT who was spouse to ROBERT MORISON, Tenant in Rossie, who died 20th Nov. 1775 aged 50 years. Also JANET MORISON one of their children who died 20th Mar. 1765 aged 2 yers. - Memento Mori". Small stone - partly buried - good condition.

C108 "1858 - Erected by JAMES FENWICK, Farmer, Leadketty, in memory of his mother JANE ROBERTSON who died 1st Dec. 1856 aged 67 years. The above JAMES FENWICK died 1st Feb. 1882 aged 54 years. His son ALEXANDER died 13th Jan. 1912 aged 54. His wife MARY ROBERTSON died 6th Mar. 1916 aged 80. His son CHARLES died 28th Apr. 1925 aged 71. ANN RAE wife of CHARLES died 15th Nov. 1924 aged 74". Large decorated sandstone stone on plinth - good condition.

C109 "Erected to the memory of CATHERINE STEWART who died at Steelend 12th Sep. 1904 aged 69 years and of her sisters who also died there MARY BRUGH STEWART 2nd Nov. 1905 aged 81 years and FLORA McDONALD STEWART 22nd June 1912 aged 81 years". Broken sandstone stone with top part separtated from double plinth - crown of stone also broken - fair condition.

C110 "Erected by JANE STEWART in memory of her husband DAVID MOIR, gardner at Duncrub who died 2nd Sep. 1867 aged 46 years. Also of their daughter AGNES ROLLO MOIR who died 10th Nov. 1864 aged 6 years. The above JANE STEWART died 23rd May 1889 aged 67 years. Also the children of CHARLES and CHRISTINA MOIR, DAVID, ALBERT and JANET who died in infancy. - Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord". Tall pointed ornamental stone - reasonably good condition.

C111 "Sacred to the memory of Mrs MARY BRUGH, Boghall, who died VIth Sep. MDCCC (6.9.1800), aged 56 years". Large flat slab on 4 legs - tilting - condition fair.

C111a Underneath stone No. C111 - Flat slab stone - cherub at top - scroll at bottom with "Memento Mori" Skull, crossbones and hour glass. No inscriptions. Fair condition.

C112 "1808" - otherwise unreadable. Medium sized sandstone stone in poor condition - inscription flaked off.

C113 "Erected in memory of PETER DEUCHARS died 20th Dec. 1896 his wife JANE MARTIN died --- 1895". Largish sandstone stone with single plinth - badly worn on lower face.

C114 "In loving memory of ANDREW HONEY, farmer, Knowes, who died 25th Dec. 1918 aged 78 and MARY BAYNE his wife who died 30th May 1903 aged 56. Also their daughters MARY wife of JAMES PITCEATHLY who died 16th Feb. 1912 aged 36, LILLIAS who died 12th Feb. 1936 aged 55, JEANIE WESTWOOD who died 21st Aug. 1946 aged 78. Also their daughter ELIZABETH HONEY who died 28th July 1967 aged 89 years". Large polished granite stone with single plinth - good condition.

C115 "1812 - Erected by WILLIAM ANDERSON, mason in Dunning and JEAN KINMONTH his spouse, to the memory of their son ARCHIBALD who died 3rd May 1806 aged 3 years and their daughter ANN who died 14th July 1811 aged 4 years. Also MARY who died 14th May 1822 aged 10 years. WILLIAM who died 30th Dec. 1824 aged 6 years. ROBERT who died 21st Aug. 1827 aged 6 years. JOHN who died 19th June 1828 aged 18 years". On back - "WILLIAM ANDERSON the erector of this stone died 21st Dec. 1829, aged 63, a friend and well tried. He lived respected and regretted died. JEAN KINMONTH wife of the above died 28th Mar. 1839 aged 57 years". Medium sized sandstone - reasonable condition but tilting forward.

C116 "In memory of DAVID KINMONTH who died 23rd Oct. 1800 aged 60 years. MARY WINTON his spouse who died 3rd Nov. 1815 aged 75 years. ROBERT ANDERSON who died 5th Mar. 1805 aged 40 years. ARCHIBALD ANDERSON, late carrier Dunning, who died 5th Mar. 1834 aged 59 years. ANN KINMONTH who died 29th May 1842 aged 75 years". On back - "WILLIAM ANDERSON son of ARCHIBALD ANDERSON, Merchant, Dunning, died 13th Jan. 1849 aged 8 years. The above ARCHIBALD ANDERSON died 6th Aug. 1856 aged 41 years. JAMES ANDERSON died 28th Aug. 1880 aged 35 years. JESSIE DALGLEISH wife of the above ARCHIBALD ANDERSON died 21st Mar. 1893 aged 81 years. ARCHIBALD ANDERSON died 3rd July 1906 aged 56 years". Large ornamental sandstone stone - leaning forward badly.

C117 Unreadable. Medium sized stone with castellated top in poor condition - flaked and illegible.

C117a "1723 - Heart inside shield with letters ? B H M outside shield. (Possibly HUGH McEWAN and MARGARET BULL as shown in the Account of the Compensation paid after burning of Dunning). On reverse - Shield with Wright's Trade Sign - "Square and Axe". Flat triangular stone - fair condition - inscription worn.

C118 "Erected by JAMES BAYNE in memory of GEORGE SCOTT who died 9th June 1852 aged 30 years. The erector of this stone died 8th Sep. 1854 aged 66". Medium sized sandstone stone - fair condition.
